4-Phenylazophenol is an orange to amber to dark red colored powder. It is a polymethacrylates containing polar azo dye. It is also known as 4-Hydroxyazobenzene and Solvent Yellow 7. The chemical formula of it is C12H10N2O. It is slightly soluble in hot water but completely soluble in acetone and ethanol.
