It is also known as 3,6-Diamino-10-methylacridinium chloride hydrochloride, Euflavine. It can be added to the water in the form of a solution. Acriflavine hydrochloride is a fluorescent dye. It is used as a topical contrast agent. It mainly stains nuclei and is applied to tissues before microscopy.
