Fuchsin Basic Certified CAS: 632-99-5 | MF: C20H19N3•HCl | MW: 337.86, Buy now Histological Stains & Dyes for Histology, Cytology, Microbiology, Hematology & Biology Lab from TriStains. All Tristains products are exclusively distributed by Dawn Scientific Inc.
Basic fuchsin Certified is a member of the triphenylmethane group. It is a synthetic dye commonly utilized in biological and microbiological staining. This substance presents itself as a dark green crystalline powder that forms a magenta solution once dissolved in water or alcohol. Its chemical formula is C19H17N3 · HCl. Additionally, it is recognized by various names such as Basic Parafuchsin, Basic Red 9, Magenta™ O, Parafuchsin hydrochloride, Paramagenta hydrochloride, Pararosaniline chloride, and Pararosaniline hydrochloride. It is certified for acid-fast staining with carbol-fuchsin, as ENDO medium, and as Schiff′s reagent in the Periodic Acid Schiff (PAS) and Feulgen techniques. Basic fuchsin is predominantly employed for staining bacteria, chromosomes, and other cellular structures. This high-quality dye is a reliable choice for microbiological, histological, and cytological staining purposes.
TriStains provides a marketplace for histology and biological stains, which is comprehensive enough to encompass the peculiar requirements of laboratories specializing in Histology, Cytology, Microbiology, and Hematology. With a reputation for exceeding quality expectations, TriStains performance is outstanding which allows for resolution of cell and tissue components fundamental to life sciences to be clearly visualized. TriStains, which manufactures and markets stains and indicators in various packing, offers laboratories turn key solutions for all their staining and indicator needs, improving accuracy in every experiment.
Application :
- As a primary stain, Fuchsin Basic is used in some variations of the Gram staining procedure to differentiate Gram-positive bacteria (which retain the dye) from Gram-negative bacteria.
- Basic fuchsin has been used as a lignin-detecting fluorogenic dye for fluorescence-based imaging of lignin in the basal internodes of three Brachypodium distachyon ecotypes
- Combining basic fuchsin with sulfurous acid results in the formation of fuchsin sulfurous acid, also referred to as Feulgen reagent or Schiff′s reagent. This reagent is responsible for the staining of chromosomal DNA.
- Basic fuchsin is also used for the staining of lignin in plant tissue samples.
- It is used in various protocols to stain bacteria, making it easier to observe and identify bacterial morphology and structure under a microscope.
Benefits :
- High quality, with consistent purity and performance
- Provides clear and distinct staining results
- Suitable for a wide range of staining protocols in microbiology, histology, and cytology
