Description

Stains-All CAS: 7423-31-6 | MF: C30H27BrN2S2 | MW: 559.58, Buy Histological Stains & Dyes for Histology, Cytology, Microbiology, Hematology & Biology Lab from TriStains.

Stains-All comes in blue to dark blue, dark grey or purple crystalline powder. It has a C30H27BrN2S2 molecular formula and a molecular weight of 559.58. This cationic carbocyanine dye is known as a highly versatile stain that is applicable in many fields of laboratory work. It stains sialogycoproteins well in blue, calcium-binding proteins in deep blue to violet, proteins in red and lipids in yellow-orange. It also causes the staining of RNA with a blue-purple stain, and DNA with a blue stain, and is therefore of great use in molecular differentiation. Stains-All is an important component in biochemical studies, molecular biology, and laboratory analyses that require great accuracy in the visualization of biomolecules.

Applications

  • Stains-All is widely employed in the staining of gels set up in the determination of the molecular size of hyaluronan.
  • It is also used in staining DNA oligonucleotide, which has been separated by use of nondenaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.
  • Stains-All is a useful stain to use in laboratory studies of both nucleic acids and proteins.

Key features

  • Multipurpose Dye: Capable of the selective staining of proteins, lipids, nucleic acids and glycoproteins with distinct color differences.
  • High Sensitivity: Gives the benefit of bright and sharp staining, which enables precise visualization and identification of biomolecules.
  • Reliable and Consistent: Definitely guarantees the repeatability of staining under different electrophoresis and biochemical staining conditions.
  • Multi-purpose Laboratory Usage: Applicable in biochemical studies, molecular biology, cytology, histology, and other scientific studies.

General Description

Stains-All (CAS: 7423-31-6, MF: C30H27BrN2S2, MW: 559.58) is a high-end quality carbocyanine dye that is widely employed in biochemical and molecular research laboratories. It has a special characteristic of differentially staining a wide variety of biomolecules, depending on their chemical makeup, and is thus a necessity when the researcher needs a detailed molecular visualization. The color responses, which are characteristic (blue of glycoproteins, red of proteins, and yellow-orange of lipids), promote the clarity of analysis.

Stains-all is a cationic carbocyanine dye used for differential staining of nuclei acids and proteins with RNA staining blue/purple, DNA staining blue, and proteins staining red. In addition, the dye can be prepared by dissolving Stains-All in formamide and buffer. It has been reported that Stains-all is 50 to 100% more intense than Coomassie blue (sc-294100) in staining proteins such as Ca2+-binding proteins in muscle extracts. Furthermore, Stains-all is an ideal dye for the visualization and identification of proteins on polyacrylamide gels because it differentiates between highly acidic proteins which stain blue and less acidic proteins which stain pink. When employed on polyacrylamide gels, the intensity of Stains-all can be increased by the addition of silver nitrate.
